The grass is always greener..

With the summer winding down, we've loved having our neighborhood pool to ourselves in the evenings. Apparently everyone else is in a Fall state of mind. We however are clinging to summer still. Those people seem to forget the season that follows Fall.

The water has gotten much cooler so last night Cole and I walked down to the pool fully clothed to dip our feet in the water while Fin and Pat swam. Fin quickly decided after swimming in the cold water that he would rather sit wrapped in a towel eating goldfish, and Cole kept reaching out for Pat and grunting from the side. So out Fin came to sit with me and I stripped off Cole's onesie and sent him into the water wearing a diaper. Cole LOVED it and he and Pat were so sweet together.

Fin and I were the smart ones, taking it all in from the side while we munched on goldfish.

When we have nice evenings at the park or pool lately, I tell the boys to bottle it up for the winter. Seriously, how can you compare living like this to it being dark and cold by 5pm? Oy.
